Sayyid Hamed Hossein Hashemi began his Hawza studies in the holy city of Qom, one of the most prestigious centers of Islamic scholarship in the world. He specialized in Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) and Islamic Law, demonstrating exceptional dedication and scholarly aptitude throughout his studies.
Among thousands of students and clergy, Sayyid Hamed was honored with the prestigious award of Best Clergy โ a recognition of his outstanding mastery of Islamic sciences and his exemplary character as a religious leader.
He then pursued an ambitious academic path, earning a Ph.D. in Jurisprudence and Islamic Law from Tehran University, one of Iran's most distinguished academic institutions. During and after his doctoral studies, he served as an Assistant Professor and faculty member at several universities, shaping the next generation of Islamic scholars.
As Vice President and Secretary of the Rizvan Foundation, Sayyid Dr. Hamed Hashemi provides the scholarly and spiritual direction for the organization. He draws on his deep grounding in Shia jurisprudence and his extensive academic experience to guide the foundation's programs in Islamic education, community welfare, and Dawah in the Tampa Bay area.
